It really has been! I dont mind fishing in sub freezing weather but if the water is frozen, it can prove rather pointless. There are a few warm water discharges around here but the flooding has kept me away from those.
Big streamers land big fish, which is true for all fish species involving larger flies---I landed my largest spot using an oversize popper that the little fish wasn't interested in--hope to see the Musky that takes this streamer
big meat for some big fish, this winter has been a real drag. nice to see you staying warm and productive

ReplyDeleteCrazy how that happens sometimes, isn't it?! Im amazed at the number of bass that take a shot at flies this size
DeleteI see you catching a few bass on that one.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I'll have to throw it with a flouro leader one day instead of a wire one. The bass seem to be a bit more leader shy than the musky
DeleteThat'll get some attention! Nice tie, man!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The funny thing about musky flies is that they don't have to be pretty to us or outside of the water...it's in the water that counts
