We had a date night planned this past weekend, but we weren't really sure what we wanted to do. When I saw a text from her that read, "I told Dawn (her sister and our baby sitter for the night) I wanna go fishing with u for our date :)" I was ecstatic.
The question she had asked not long ago raced to the front of my memory line and I was finally going to be able to answer it!!
I knew just the spot and how I was gonna make this happen.
A can of corn, a few missed strikes, and a few bug bites later...
Mission accomplished

ReplyDeleteThis keeps cracking me up. Good stuff Nick.
LOL Thanks, Dan!
DeleteYou'd better hold on to her - she's a keeper!
ReplyDeleteNaaa...we let it go.
DeleteOh wait...you must have been talking about my wife.
HA!
Thats awesome! It's cool when they get to experience the thrill of a fun fighting fish and that rush. A lot of anglers never get the joy of being able to share something they love passionately with someone they love! Congrats man!
ReplyDeletePS. Is she interested in being a pro staff member ;)
Absolutely! I was actually going to send you that full size picture
DeleteVery nice picture of your beautiful carp, uh, wife, and a carp. Just funning. She and it are lovely. I hope this is a start of new date nights.

Thanks, Gregg! I hope so as well. Once the little guy gets a bit older, date frequency should increase!
DeleteEvery fishing date I've been on has ended disastrously. Good to see someone can pull it off! haha
ReplyDeleteHA! You should have seen our skiing date. I thought we were gonna get divorced after that one
DeleteA lovely picture of a lovely lady absolutely ruined with the inclusion of that swimming piece of slime. Can't blame her for using those giant pair of pliers to hold it up. That's what I would do. Actually, I would have just cut the line.
ReplyDeleteHA! Hater!
DeleteYou have the best of both worlds over there! A beautiful wife that likes to fish is rare! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great date!
